Chukka got a taste of the NFL’s elite, as cheerleaders from the Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens visited two of their Jamaica locations.

The NFL cheerleaders were in Jamaica for their spring calendar shoot, with photos taken at Chukka’s Good Hope Estate in Falmouth, as well as Chukka Cove in Ocho Rios. They were joined by several guests, including Justin Schlegel, a radio DJ from 98-Rock in Baltimore who was live on location every day.

As part of their Jamaican experience, the Ravens cheerleaders and their guests were treated to two popular and exciting Chukka tours – the Horseback Ride N’ Swim at Chukka Cove and the Dune Buggy Adventure at Good Hope.

March 4, 2013 (Ocho Rios, Jamaica) – Chukka’s team building program was put to the test this weekend, as Sagicor Life Jamaica descended on the Cranbrook location for some fun and excitement.

Fifteen Sagicor employees enjoyed the White Water Rafting and Zipline Combo with Chukka, navigating the skies, trails and exhilarating rapids around the headwaters of Cranbrook Flower Forest.

The first part of the year can be particularly hectic for many individuals and companies, and this was especially the case for Sagicor’s group marketing team, after the tremendous success of the Sagicor Sigma Corporate Run.

“Our team worked hard. We work hard and we play hard,” said Sagicor Assistant Vice President for Group Marketing, Ingrid Card. “We chose Chukka to further enhance our team’s drive. The activities we did, we did them as a team and had fun as a team. It was truly a great decision, and an amazing experience was had by all. Thank you Chukka!”

March 8, 2013 (Belize City, Belize) – Chukka was one of 64 teams to hit the water this morning, as the 15th annual La Ruta Maya race kicked off in San Ignacio, Cayo District.

La Ruta Maya goes from West to East over four days, with teams completing certain portions of the route each day. Today’s paddle lasted four to five hours.

Chukka is registered in the male division of the race. Our paddlers are three of our safety officers from the Jaguar Paw Adventure Outpost in Belize. They are Mario Portillo, Elmer Cruz and Miguel Cruz.

The race will end on Monday, March 11, which is National Heroes Day in Belize.

Before Jamaica Product Exchange (JAPEX) began on September 30th, CHUKKA invited the Top Travel Agents not to business meeting or to pitch new ideas but to watch an exciting game of Polo. Following the company’s new tagline “It’s Time To Play”, CHUKKA decided before the hustle and bustle of the conference some fun and relaxation was needed.

The socializing started at 2:30pm at the Chukka Cove Farm in St. Ann with Appleton being the liquor of choice and selected delicacies from the CHUKKA Good Hope Estate. Two teams squared off on the Polo Field – Team Jaguar Paw and Team Good Hope.

Chukka’s Jungle Zipline Adventure, Cave Tubing & Lunch tour was recently named Princess’ “Tour of the Season” for 2011-12 in the port of Belize.

The tour, operated from Chukka’s Jaguar Paw Adventure Outpost, includes a once-in-a-lifetime zipline experience through the untouched Belizean jungle, as well as a floating adventure through mysterious limestone archways and mouths of centuries old caves, while hearing untold stories of Mayan rituals.

Since 1996, Princess Cruises has awarded “Tour of the Season” awards to both low and high volume operators in their ports of call, as a means of acknowledging the invaluable contribution that the tour providers make to the overall enjoyment of their passengers’ travel experience.

The cruise line will present the award to Chukka during a ceremony on board the Crown Princess in early January 2013.
